2012 New Zealand Salsa Championships

KANTUTA has previously hosted and organised the NZ SALSA competitions for a duration 15 years, please see information and links below to past New Zealand Salsa Competitions.

2012 New Zealand Salsa Championships Saturday 17 November, 2012 AMI Netball Centre, St Johns, Auckland.

THE COMPETITION - The NZSC is first and foremost an Amateur dance competition. Amateurs as well as Professionals are welcome to enter the following Categories; Small Salsa Teams, Large Salsa Teams, Latin Showcase Teams, Open and Shines Categories. No Professionals are allowed in any other Categories. Come and see New Zealand salsa dancers battle it out on the dance floor!

This year the competition will feature 13 categories in 4 divisions, giving competitors of all levels and ages a chance to become a New Zealand Salsa Champion!

The 2012 New Zealand Salsa Championships (NZSC) is brought to you by the.. New Zealand Salsa Dance Associates (NZSDA). The NZSDA is a registered non-profit organization where salsa dance schools have come together to create the NZSC, a non-profit event.

The objective of the NZSC and NZSDA is to run a structured competition acknowledging and rewarding dancers, instructors and schools in New Zealand for their effort, commitment and passion for Salsa dancing. The competition will also act as way to educate Salsa dancers in New Zealand about dance competition standards, structure and ethics around the world. It also features 13 Categories in 4 Divisions to give dancers of all levels and ages a chance to become a New Zealand Salsa Champion.
