Tired of not being able to find the Latin music you want to listen to in New Zealand music stores?  Tired of waiting for what seems like forever for them to arrive when you do find them?  Caribbean Skylight Entertainment now offers for the first time in New Zealand an extensive selection of  Latin dance music available for purchase on CD.

Send details of the style of music you are looking for e.g. Salsa, Samba, Romantica, Bolero, Cha-Cha, modern Latino hiphop/rap just to name a few of the Latin American rhythmic styles.

Caribbean Skylight Entertainment will offer you some suggestions and help you to match your requests and give you the personal service you seek. DJ Roly will showcase the latest Dance sounds from New York and the UK 

Club Tropicana Friday December 12^th  The night is being held above Baritones Cafe in High Street, Auckland. Doors open at 8pm and tickets are just $12 ($10 students)

A dance class will be held from 7.30pm for those who wish to brush up on their basics or learn a few new moves before the night begins. The class and club is available for $18 inclusive.

There will be prizes for the best dressed people on the night.

New Zealand Annual Salsa and Lambada Dance Competition 1998

We expect to see some entries from Caribbean Skylight Entertainment classes in the 1998 Dance Competition, so start preparing now!! There are great prizes to be won. After all it's about having a little fun and showing everybody your funky style.

Fiesta Latina Radio 810am (New Zealand) In the last newsletter Skylight talked about the Latin airwaves on Community Access Radio. Those air times have now been extended and the show with something for everyone will run from 8.40pm to 9.50pm every Wednesday on 810AM.  Voiced in both Spanish and English the show covers Latin music, culture, products and special events from within New Zealand.  Tune in every Wednesday from 8.40pm to Fiesta Latina Mambo Loco Mambo Loco (Tuesday Latin Nights) is now open to everyone who likes to listen to the latest Latin grooves. New Zealand's own Cuban DJ Roly will play from 9pm till late every week. Please note that classes will begin at 7.30pm sharp and will not run past 9pm so be there in time to get your drink and relax before the real work begins. Dance Classes are only $15 or $10 for students. The Khuja Lounge is located on the 3rd floor of the Westpac Building, cnr Queen St. and 'K' road Auckland. So get down and get grooving!! Café 223 More Latin grooves can be found on Thursday nights at Cafe 223.  From 8pm all are welcome to call in and practice those well learnt steps and improve on that latin dance style. Sample the European inspired menu to recharge your batteries whilst you dance.
